In the last two years I have extended my expertise in aesthetics and politics by incorporating a cluster of ideas associated with contemporary philosophy’s renewed interest in realism and materialism. Names and terms associated with this territory include: Neo-Rationalism, Xenofeminism, Object Oriented Ontology, the Anthropocene, Accelerationism and Hyperstition… In a world where the new White House administration’s position on climate change is that “it is a bunch of bunk” it would seem the philosophical defence of realism is an urgent necessity.
I am currently delivering conference papers and preparing journal articles that address these concerns.
